I definitely notice a slight, natural
difference between the two ghosts, er, legs.

You’ll often hear me say, “I make Casper look dirty,” I am that white. I can’t tan, I just burn, thanks to my freckly, Irish skin. Of course, neither my mom nor my sister ever had this issue so I would hate watching them slather on their tanning oils and lounging for hours in their swimsuits while I sat in 800+ SPF lotion with my big floppy hat, hiding under the table umbrella.

While 800+ SPF lotion might be a slight exaggeration, I still have never been able to enjoy a tan and the thought of standing half naked while someone sprays a coating of brown God-knows-what on me doesn’t sound appealing. I don’t shudder at the thought of fake tan products, but many only offer an orange-like tint or don’t appear until hours after the application so it’s too late to fix any mistakes or light spots.

Already on my must-pack list for BlogHer is Flawless Self-Tan Liquid from Fake Bake. Flawless is a quick-drying formula that produces immediate color so you know how dark your ‘tan’ will be, what color it will be and if you’ve missed any spots. It’s applied with a mitt (not Romney) for and easy and smooth application.

Flawless dries quickly so if you’re heading out for the evening unexpectedly, you can quickly apply your tan without having to wait hours to get dressed or to see color on your skin. I will recommend, just as the instructions do, that you exfoliate – this will help prevent any unwanted streaks or splotches of color.

It also has a pleasant scent, much like suntan lotion, so you’ll smell beachy fresh! You can purchase a 170/ml 6oz bottle for $24.99 but thanks to our friends at Fake Bake, one lucky reader will take home a bottle of Flawless for a natural-looking summer tan of their own!
