Cedar Point, America’s Roller Coast in Sandusky, OH, will be debuting a new ride next year that is sure to help them keep their nickname as the “Best Amusement in the World.” The GateKeeper, according to the Point, is a winged ride unlike anything else featuring a 180 degree turn to the right at the top of the first hill that turns rides upside down before plummeting toward the ground at speeds of more than 65 mph!

The new ride cost the park about $30 million dollars and joins the rank in a line of new features Cedar Point has debuted lately, including their laser light show, Luminosity, and their new exhibit, Dinosaurs Alive!

GateKeeper Statistics:
Ride time: Approximately 2 minutes, 45 seconds
Lift height: 170 feet
Vertical drop: 164 feet
Max speed: 67 mph
Thrills: Includes 105-foot-tall camelback hill with ‘airtime’, 360-degree flip that provides two different ride experiences for guests on each side of the train, Zero-G roll, a quick fly over guests below, and more!
