This weekend, I’ll be Marvel Fan Girling it all the way to LA for a multi-faceted event that includes, among many other events, a screening of the new Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War as well as interviews with the cast!
Captain America: Civil War Screening and Interviews
If I’m being honest, the moment I see an email that says I’m being invited to LA courtesy of Marvel, Disney, and ABC, most of what else is in the email doesn’t get read until I’ve calmed myself hours later.
While in LA this week, I’ll be screening the new Marvel film, Captain America: Civil War before it hits theaters on May 6 as well as interviewing the cast of the film! Though it’s not yet been revealed who we’re interviewing, this will be my second Marvel press event and they NEVER fail to excite. With such a star-studded cast, I can’t yet even wrap my head around the possibilities.
So, whose side are you on? This week, I’ll be cheering on #TeamCap, so make sure to follow along on Twitter, on Instagram, and possibly on Periscope! Heck, this trip is dang exciting, I might even Snapchat – whatever that is. And, of course, don’t miss Captain America: Civil War in theaters May 6!
Dinner With The Family
I’m also a little geeked that we’ll be joining Jenna Bans, the creator & executive producer of ABC’s new drama, “The Family” (Sundays at 9/8c), as well as some of the amazing cast, for a family-style dinner! We’ll have the opportunity to live tweet as we check out episode 7, with a special sneak preview of episode 8. We’ll be interviewing some of the cast for our blog and there’s no doubt that it should be exciting with the hype that this show has created lately.
If you’ve not checked out The Family on ABC, dear GOD do yourself a favor and watch it. I’m addicted.
Another amazing new ABC show is The Catch, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites! While we’re in LA, we’ll share with you exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and secrets of this amazing new cat-and-mouse show from the producers of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder”.
Alice Vaughan is LA’s top private investigator, but when her fiancé Benjamin Jones cons her out of millions and disappears, she goes on a private mission for payback stopping at nothing to catch her man. “The Catch” debuts Thursday, March 24th at 10/9c. More details to come!
Adventures In Babysitting
While we’re in LA, we’ll also get a sneak peek at the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Adventures in Babysitting! This new movie is inspired by the hugely popular 1980s film that so many of us wore out our VCRs while watching at every single slumber party.
The original move starts Sabrina Carpenter (of Disney Channel’s hit comedy series “Girl Meets World”) and Sofia Carson (of the hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants”). In “Adventures in Babysitting,” a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola (Sofia Carson), turns into an adventure in the big city as they hunt for one of the kids who somehow snuck away. We’ll also have a chance to interview a few of the movie’s stars!
The Real O’Neals
Just after the initial email arrived, we were given more good news – our trip would also include an exclusive episode preview of The Real O’Neals as well as a Q&A with star Jay R. Ferguson.
Jay plays Pat, the patriarch of the O’Neals, a family that seems as though they’re the perfect Catholic family. But, a moment of honesty reveals a precocious daughter, a gay son, and a marriage on the rocks. All of which provides fodder for a hilarious new comedy Thursdays at 8:30/7:30C.
By the way, any Teen Beat readers from the 80s? You might remember Jay R. Ferguson from a few of their pages and centerfolds 😉
