It’s very rare when I find that both my kids – a 5-year-old and a 15-year-old – are entertained by the same show. While it’s not my teen’s first choice of shows, he knows that in order for them to watch TV, they have to find a show they both agree on. Lately, they’ve been streaming DreamWorks TV new show, Dinotrux, on Netflix.
I love that Dinotrux concentrates their messages to kids on independence and cooperation – very important lessons for my 5-year-old. I can tell that the messages make an impact because she talks about them with her 15-year-old brother, who has plenty of independence, maybe not enough cooperation at times.
Dinotrux is part of an award winning roster of DreamWorks TV shows bringing movie quality to children’s series airing only on Netflix. In the two short years since DreamWorks entered the children’s TV arena, they’ve received five nominations for All Hail King Julien and one for VeggieTales In the House as Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Animated Program and their original All Hail King Julien series was just honored with three Emmy awards this spring, including Outstanding Children’s Animated Program.
