Last week, I started enlisting friends to help make me a list of TV shows and movies I need to get caught up on. I had major surgery on Tuesday of this week so I needed all the “best bed rest movies” I could get my hands on.
Luckily, my surgery day happened to be the day that “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was released on Blu-ray.
So, while Peter Parker gets to travel far from home, I’m stuck at home healing. But really, who can complain when you’ve got this stellar cast, perfect script, and, of course, a ton of Easter Eggs for Marvel fans!
And Tom Holland.
And Aunt May referring to his Spidey-senses as his “Peter Tingle.”
Why We Love Spider-Man: Far From Home
If you’ve been a long time fan of the MCU, you know all too well how dearly we hold Tom Holland as our official, and best-ever, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
For the first time, we really get a sense of what the world was like after the “blip,” beyond how it affected our superheroes.
I’ve always been a huge Jake Gyllenhaal fan, especially since 2001’s Donnie Darko. He’s not really known for mainstream movies, but he was ideal casting for Mysterio!
What Happens After The Blip?
Our friendly neighborhood superhero decides to join his best friends Ned (Jacob Batalon), MJ (Zendaya), and the rest of the gang on a European vacation.
It’s Peter’s hope to leave super heroics behind, at least while he’s on his class trip. That plan is sidelined when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) enlists his help to uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks. S
Spider-Man and Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) join forces to fight the havoc unleashed across the continent but all is not as it seems.
