summer peaches
The freshest, juiciest summer peaches can make anyone a fan – even if they’re not normally peach seekers. Just looking at this photo makes my mouth water and I can tell you that, as someone who lives near tons of farmland, a good peach is hard to find. I’ve also learned that there is a difference in taste between store-bought summer peaches and fresh summer peaches.

We recently tried a basket of fresh summer peaches from The Fruit Company to facilitate my review, though all opinions are my own. I’m sorry to say, not many of them were shared. With anyone. My daughter had two; I had the rest.

Could I create an amazing recipe using these summer peaches from The Fruit Company? Probably. But honestly, there was little I could do to make these more satisfying than they were eaten just out of the fridge. These peaches are ones for which you need a roll of paper towels and a plate; forget the knife and napkin.

In fact, throw on one of those ridiculous plastic bibs with the lobster on front. You’re about to get crazy messy.

This photo makes me sad. All of my peaches are gone. They were gone by the second day, and they’d have been gone the first day if I had received them earlier. I couldn’t believe how utterly fresh they were! These would make the ideal gift not only because they’re delicious and carefully packaged, but because you can time your visit to the recipient according to their delivery and be certain they’ll offer you one 🙂
