What You Might Not Have Realized About Your Netflix Subscription #StreamTeam

Did you know that Netflix subscribers not only have access to a myriad of television shows and movies which they can stream on their TV or portable device, but that Netflix also creates original, award winning programming?

In fact, much of what you’re binging on Netflix – such as Jessica Jones, House of Cards, Making A Murderer, and more – are programs developed by Netflix. Netflix original programming has earned over 47 awards and a stunning 219 nominations!

A Few Of Our Favorite Netflix Shows

At last count, there were nearly 60 Netflix Original Series programming accessible for Netflix subscribers and there’s talk of their doubling their original programming for 2016. Don’t worry, your favorite TV shows and movies will still be available to stream, but honestly, I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t watching one of their originals.

One of my favorites is the new Jessica Jones series for which they just announced a second season! If you’ve not checked it out, it’s amazing. And, it’s Marvel. It’s well done and while it’s definitely meant for a more mature audience, I was hooked after the 3rd episode.

Netflix Original Programming is award winning

Of course, everyone has been talking about the into-the-future look at our favorite Full House characters now that Netflix has produced Fuller House. Many of the original characters are returning and the stories from behind the scenes are what really has been pushing the buzz along.

A few other series’ that are getting buzz about their return include House of Cards, Orange Is The New BlackUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Marvel’s Daredevil so make sure to check those out when the new seasons debut this year.
